About the Artist

David Warren captures the wild places of the Canadian & American west in oil or gouache. His hope is that his paintings evoke memories of places explored and adventures to come.

Whenever possible David prefers painting directly from nature (en plein air), where these studies will either become finished pieces themselves or influence larger studio works.

Art is a skill that is honed through dedication, education & experimentation. Taking advantage of all the modern tools available David has had the opportunity to learn from some of the best representational landscape painters including:

• Ann Witheridge at London Fine Art Studios
• Ben Fenske at New Masters Academy
• Bryan Mark Taylor at Sentient Academy
• Ellie Wilson at Sentient Academy
• Dan Schultz at Sentient Academy
